Yellow and White Wedding Cake
After the busiest few weeks I’ve had since starting my business I have some time to post some cakes on my blog.
Of course I should not complain about this onset of orders, that is after all the idea of having a cake business.
Although it is nice to have some more time with my lovely boys.
This cake was made for an informal wedding celebration.
My clients wanted a really fresh looking cake with white and lemon being the main colours.
They liked the green polka dot cake on my website so I designed a cake along those lines but in the colours they wanted.
This is the design we came up with during a consultation.
It really helps to have a consultation if you are unsure.
It is great to look at loads of beautiful cakes, sketch out some ideas and have a chat about what you are looking for.
It is also a great opportunity for me to get to know my clients better and find something that will be just right for them.
The reception venue was decorated with sunflowers which also topped the cake.
The cake contained a few dummies which are a brilliant way of creating a cake with lots of impact wihtout having lots of cake wasted although lots of people would argue that there is no downside of having spare cake.
