Roses Wedding Cake
It has been a long day today. Last night wasn’t great either. After having to vacate my own bed due to my husbands cold and subsequent very loud snoring I had a night on the sofa.
Ok that is my little moan over.
I was really pleased with this cake and so was my client.
During our consultation she told me about the colours she had chosen and I designed an elegant cake to fit perfectly in the Long Gallery at Layer Marney Towers.
The cake consisted of one chocolate sponge cake, one vanilla sponge cake and dummy tiers to add impact.
My client decided that she would like to have a brooch on the ribbon and chose it herself. I think she made a very good choice.
The cake is decorated with a combination of piping detail and sugar flowers. It has an overall delicate look.
The flowers supplied by TJ Designer Studio were just beautiful.
One of the ladies on her team created a ring of flowers between two tiers and a posy of roses on the top tier.
All the flowers I have seen at venues look lovely but these really stood out. The colour combination was very simple in green and white and was really effective
We decided on a porcelain stand for this cake which suited the style better than a round silver one.
The cake table was placed opposite the top table so the cake was facing the bride and grrom rather than being off to one side.
My client loved her cake and had a wonderful wedding day.

Firstly, what an amazing cake. It was just perfect and exactly what we (you!!) designed.
It went so well with the venue and had the impact I hoped it would. Lots of comments about how beautiful it was. It also tastes amazing!!
