Citrus Wedding Cake

Citrus Wedding Cake

This is probably the most vibrantly coloured wedding cake I have made.

My clients knew exactly what they wanted and had a picture with them to show me.

The cake has four tiers but the separators give it even more height.

The separators are polystyrene covered with organza type ribbon in pale shades of orange, green and yellow.

The citrus fruit has strong wooden skewers in each and the other end of the skewer is inserted into the dummy.

My client had planned to have bright pink and green colours as part of her colour scheme and wanted to incorporate this into the cake.

I suggested adding some pink detailing with tiny piped dots on the top tier and again on the smaller base board.

On the larger base board are tiny piped bright green dots.

The base boards are also trimmed with bright green and pink ribbons.

The reception room had lots of large windows and it was a beautiful, sunny day.

The room was bright and the colour scheme looked fantastic.

The cake was simple but so colourful and could be seen when entering the door on the opposite side of the room.
