Black & White 18th Birthday Cake

As the name tells you this cake was made for an 18th celebration.

When the birthday girl and her mum came to see me they had a pretty good of idea of what they liked and what they wanted.

Always good to have a second girly opinion.

The theme of the party was fancy dress but with a twist. The guests had to dress as something beginning with G or T.

Why G or T I hear you cry. Well I will tell you. The name of the birthday girl is Gemma Templeton.

The piping on the bottom tier is based on the pattern on Gemma’s invitations.

The cake has the letters G and T shooting from the top and then lots of curls and dinky flowers.

I think these works better on this cake than shooting stars because it needed a little more sophistication.

I think the piping also achieve this with a combination of tiny flowers and leaves.

I delivered this cake to the venue but did not get to see any of the party goers in their fancy dress which is a shame.

The black and white theme with delicate piping make this a very sophisticated and polished birthday cake rather than a girly cake for a younger person.

Gemma was really pleased with her cake and had a lovely party.
